You’ve set up your website and you’ve thought of every detail. You’ve got the best content marketers creating quality content to make you look good. You’ve uploaded videos, images, audio, and webinars to draw in the crowds. You’ve done just about everything you can think of to launch an effective inbound marketing campaign. You’re prepared and ready for that new rush of customers to come through your door at any minute.

But while it’s true that you’ve done everything you could online to attract new customers, you now have to start thinking of how to get those online people to take the next step and visit your event. While many businesses are embracing the future of technology, that doesn’t mean that the inperson contact is dead. One of those ways to do this is through event marketing.

Discover Instagram

If you haven’t discovered Instagram you’ve missed an amazing event marketing tool. A good marketer will take full advantage of the hashtag stream to find potential prospects’ photos and invite them to visit your booth at the next conference or trade show. Through this simple mechanism, you can either post your own photos or you can like their photos and include an invitation along with it and you’ve got a new potential consumer that can be nurtured to the point of converting.
Geo-Tags

If you’re wondering “how to market my event” then learn how to use geo-tags. These tags are linked to any photo you post. Potential customers who click on a geo-tag will be directed to a page with all the pictures taken at that location. As we know, a picture is worth a thousand words so providing them with such visual imagery is a great way to move them to attend your event. The more detail you can include in your pictures, the more likely they will come.

Create an Event Landing Page

You might also be thinking how can I “sell tickets to my event.” One of the best ways to do this is to create an event-landing page. When you paste the URL of your landing page into your profile it will take them directly to a page dedicated to the event you’re promoting. By adding that landing page to your website, people can find your page, fill out the needed information or even buy a ticket. Anyone of those actions gets them added to your database for future nurturing.

Hold Mastermind Event

The focus of a mastermind event is to collaborate like minds together for a mutual purpose. If you hold a mastermind event you understand that each person’s participation is a key element in its ultimate success. They help you to come up with unique and creative ideas and create a group of supportive colleagues that can tap into the unique experience of others, increase your level of confidence, and provide you with a solid network in which to grow your business. It is one of the event marketing tools you can use to get fresh new ideas on how to attract new customers.
Using social media sites like Instagram and other strategies to help plan your next event can be very rewarding. The return on your investment can well be worth the effort. You’ll be surprised at how much your database will grow when you have carefully considered how to use your event marketing skills to the full.
