Follow these four steps to organize, promote and run a Marketing Mastermind event for your business.

1. Start promoting your event several months in advance.

Attracting people to your event takes time: be sure to start your campaign early. Create landing pages, social media pages and online advertisements about your event several months in advance. Advertise the event in Google AdWords and Facebook Ad campaigns.

Be sure to place information about your event everywhere you can: on paid advertisements, on social media pages, and on every page of your website. Take advantage of Google Analytics’ remarketing lists in order to re-display the advertisements to people who clicked on your ad but did not register to your event.

2. Write SEO optimized content for your event marketing campaign. onstage

What is SEO? Search engine optimization involves doing keyword research and then making sure the right keywords are promoted in your website and social media pages that will lead to your event being easily found on Google Search. A skilled writer will be able to write content that will increase your website and social media marketing ROI, or return of investment. Calculate your ROI often so that you are able to quickly make changes to make your promotions more cost effective. For example, increase advertisement funding for the web and social media pages that have a higher ratio of registrations to your event than other pages.

3. Assemble an all-star cast of professional marketers to speak at your event.

Promote your mastermind marketing event by promoting the industry experts you are going to feature. Send out email campaigns that give a “sneak peek” of your event roster. Are some of the owners of the top companies in your industry going to speak at your event? Definitely spread the word if an expert or a top sales and marketing mastermind is going to be featured at your mastermind event.

4. Don’t forget to sweat the small details –be sure to give event attenders information on hotels, transportation, and directions to the event.

Make attending your event as easy as possible for your attendees. Coordinate with hotels to offer discounts to early registrars and be sure to put directions to and from the airport to the event on your website.
