How to Hire a Worker for Data Mining for Leads on Upwork

data mining for leadsWhether it be to flesh out a contact list to prepare for a call, or to generate a new lead list: data mining for leads is a valuable tool for your digital marketing services. If you have not purchased data mining services before, there is a good chance that you con’t know where to start. There is a popular site for sourcing different types of labor called Upwork (formerly Odesk). Upwork allows you to browse for freelancers in the Data Science and Analytics field that are well suited for your data mining or data extraction needs.

Finding Workers for Data Mining for Leads with Upwork

If you have used Upwork in the past, then the first step is to login to your account. If you are not familiar, you have the option to sign up for free. The “sign-up” can be found in the top horizontal navigation at https://www.upwork.com/. This sign-up process gives you the option to hire or work (you will want to choose “work”), and you also have the ability to sign in with Facebook, LinkedIn or Google.

Navigate to Data Science and Analytics

Once you are logged into Upwork, you will need to navigate to the Freelancer categories. This can be accomplished by clicking “Freelancers” and the “Find Freelancers” in the top Menu of the home page.

Choose Data Extraction vs Data Mining

You need to decide whether your data needs entail database searching (Data Extraction) or simply web searching for publicly available information (data mining). Once you have determined what your needs are, select the green sub-category under Data Science & Analytics accordingly.

Select Your Freelancer

You can view the profiles of every worker under the sub-category that you chose. You have the option to filter them by quality rating (determined by customer feedback), experience (determined by jobs completed), hourly rate, and their professional qualifications. You can view each worker’s extended profile by clicking on their picture. Click “Contact” to continue to the next step.

Invite Freelancer to Your Cause

Once you have made your worker selection, you can fill them in on the job specifications. The freelancer then has the option to review your job offer and confirm or deny the opportunity. The financial aspect of the site can all be taken care of with a PayPal account.

Now that you have an influx of data, your business is ready to flourish. Make sure you know how to efficiently handle the opportunities that you have made available for yourself so that you can effectively optimize your digital marketing efforts!
